Privacy policy
The short version: Miaou collects nothing. Like any private bank worth its name, it knows the outline of your windows and never what is inside them. The long version is not much longer.
Nothing. Miaou has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no network connection of any kind. It has no way to send anything anywhere.
The outline of your windows (position, size, front-to-back order), where the mouse is, whether its button is held down, how many seconds ago the Mac was last touched, and two display settings: light or dark mode, and Reduce motion. It never reads a window title, never sees what is inside a window, and never listens to the keyboard. What it reads is used on the spot and never written to disk.
Your settings: the coat you picked, what the cats notice, which windows get ears, and that you have seen the welcome note. Open at login, if you tick it, is kept by macOS itself. They sit in a small preferences file on your Mac, inside the app’s own sandbox, and never leave it.
None. Miaou runs inside Apple’s App Sandbox and never asks for Screen Recording, Accessibility or Input Monitoring.
Apple handles the download under its own privacy policy. Miaou receives none of your personal details; Apple shows me only anonymous, aggregated figures, such as the number of downloads.
Static pages: no cookies, no analytics, no trackers. Like every web host, the one serving these pages keeps ordinary server logs.
If this policy ever changes, the change will appear on this page, with its date.
